Open-Platform Development


Sound Design Technologies' Open-Platform DSPs are directed at customers who have the capabilities of developing their own firmware. Sound Design Technologies has a complete development kit to assist customers with their firmware development. The development kit consists of GUIDE™, a development board, documentation, sample code, and applications support. On-site training is also available.


GUIDE is a comprehensive integrated software development environment for Sound Design Technologies' Open-Platform DSPs. GUIDE's clean, consistent interface leads developers through the implementation, debugging, and evaluation of their firmware. Guide manages firmware projects and features integrated project management, compilers, debugging, online help and profiling support.


The development board included with the kit greatly simplifies the firmware development process. It connects to any PC via a USB connector. It allows the stopping and starting of the various processors on the DSPs, the setting of break-points, and line-by-line stepping for true in-line debugging. It also has RCA connectors and S-PDIF connectors to suit your audio connectivity needs.
