ADVANTA™ is Sound Design Technologies' first product on the VOYAGEUR™ platform with ADRO® technology from Dynamic Hearing. ADRO® is a high-end alternative to standard compression schemes used in hearing aids, and employs fuzzy logic and an adaptive algorithm to optimize the hearing aid signal so that sounds remain within the dynamic range of the listener. Fitted with in-situ measures, ADRO® separates the audio signal into 32 independent channels, providing users with an extremely clear and natural sounding output.
Advanta comes equipped with a number of advanced high-end features that are easily deployed. Advanta's Adaptive Directional Microphone (ADM) technology enhances the listener's experience due to its continuous and automatic adjustment of the microphone settings based on the environment. Combining the signals from two omni-directional microphones allows unwanted noise to be rejected while an adjustable threshold criterion allows the system to automatically change to an omni-directional response when in quiet. The ADM features a flat frequency response, is easily configured for different microphone placements, and each is calibrated to match multiple microphones.
The advanced feedback canceller provides increased maximum stable gain unlike other feedback reduction strategies. Additionally, it features rapid adjustment for dynamic feedback situations.
Other configurable options on Advanta include: fixed directional microphone, internal noise reduction with user programmable settings, adjustable volume control range, direct audio input, telecoil input, calibration and test modes supporting standard IEC/ANSI procedures, adjustable input selection and 4 alternate listening programs.
